ONEPLUS × MCLAREN · UK

Built for speed,
made to feel British

A partnership that tied OnePlus to the one thing McLaren stands for, speed, and gave a challenger brand a home-grown partner in the UK.

CONTEXT

Speed was the heart of the OnePlus promise. But in the UK, OnePlus was a challenger with no local roots, up against brands people had known for years.

INSIGHT

McLaren means speed to almost everyone, and it is British to its core. One partner could give OnePlus both things it needed: a feeling of speed and a sense of belonging in the UK.

STRATEGY

Borrow credibility from a partner people already trust. Build speed into the product itself, launch it on McLaren's home turf, and put McLaren's own drivers front and centre.

IDEA

Built for Speed. Bespoke McLaren Edition phones in papaya orange, launched with McLaren and unboxed by its F1 drivers.
